There are a lot of places you can look at for statistics, but one of the most useful there is are supplied by the British Home Office. The home office survey around 20000 people every other year to work out what is society doing. They have found out, based on the surveys carried out, that an estimated 50% of 16-29 year olds have used drugs in the last year. If thats taken down to a slightly younger age range of 16-24 year olds it works out that 1 in 5 have used drugs in the last month. If you then look at younger ages further still, a survey carried out by the NHS, detailing over 40000 young people, they found that at the age of 15 27 % of children have already used drugs. By the age of 13 already 9% had used drugs and at the age of 11 4% had already tried drugs.
