Marijuana Withdrawal, Is It Supposed to Last This Long?

Question by Edward: Marijuana withdrawal, is it supposed to last this long?
Been smoking almost daily for about 15 years. Quit 3 months ago. It wasn’t even hard. No real symptoms, a lil craving, that’s it. A month goes by, okay. Month 2, about the same, maybe got a lil moody. Month 3, noticed I’ve been generally moody, stressed out. The past few days, I’ve had more cravings to smoke than I’ve had in the past 3 months. Insomnia has been bad though. Especially the past month.

Stress never really bothered me. I was mostly a laid-back guy who didn’t let anything “ruin my mellow,” even without pot. The thing is, it’s not finances, work, or daily life that’s been stressing me out. IT”S MY GIRLFRIEND. I don’t know if it was because I smoked or something, but I never noticed how bitchy she is. I mean extremely bitchy. And it seems like it’s gotten alot worse since I’ve quit smoking.

Was it the pot that kept me from noticing or acknowledging her bitchy moods? It did not seem bad when I was smoking, but now it’s ridiculously terrible, like she turned bi-polar in the past couple months.

Truly, I could have a shitty day at work, or a dispute with a family member or friend, and it just rolls off the shoulder. But I have singled out the NUMBER 1 stressor. My girlfriend. Is she miserable, and wants everyone else to be miserable? I’m mostly in a good mood, but if she’s having a bad day, it’s like she wants me to feel bad as well.

It’s not marijuana withdrawal, you just have a bitchy girlfriend, and the pot made you not worry about her.
