BACKGROUND: Cannabinoids from cannabis (Cannabis sativa) are anti-inflammatory and have inhibitory effects on the proliferation of a number of tumorigenic cell lines, some of which are mediated via cannabinoid receptors. Cannabinoid (CB) receptors are present in human skin and anandamide, an endogenous CB receptor ligand, inhibits epidermal keratinocyte differentiation. Psoriasis is? an inflammatory disease also characterised in part by epidermal keratinocyte hyper-proliferation.

  • Adisyaone says:

Cannabinoids inhibit human keratinocyte proliferation through a non-CB1/CB2 mechanism and have a potential therapeutic value in? the treatment of psoriasis.

Also stress has a role to play? in healing psoriasis. Diet is one aspect and probably the major component. But one also needs to follow a healthy lifestyle that includes: minimising stress, exercise, etc…

  • jehnaz18 says:

Dr Defabio I know this may not be in your field of expertise but can you tell me if one should be using “topical corticosteroids” at the same time while on this Dr Pagano diet or is it best to avoid using any medications on the skin during the diet? I mean if topical corticosteroids are used concurrently will the skin and? body still heal? And once the skin is healed then would stopping topical corticosteroid use cause a flare up? I wanted to ask Dr Pagano this but have heard he has passed away!

  • Matt O says:

    Your a moron.?

  • Vlado S says:

this man says that psoriasis will manifest in the skin when the body can’t absorb food. I think he forgot the throwing up mechanism which is the most basic rejection method. He thinks body is stupid and will absorb food it can’t digest and will push it onto the skin to overproduce skin cells which doesn’t even get rid of the “unabsorbed food” , not to mention that digestive path and the skin are completelly different germ cell layers that can? not be crossed.

  • Vlado S says:

diet has nothing to do with skin issues especially? psoriasis.

  • BESARTETOVA says:

Thank you much about this video, can be harmful for? Psoriasis chicken eggs
