Why Do Men Not Get Access to Shelters Like Women or Counselling Services/phonelines?
Question by Roger: Why do men not get access to shelters like women or counselling services/phonelines?
There are number news reports on youtube of men having to ring women’s shelters to ask for help (as if they’re gonna get treated equally by a women’s shelter) isn’t this gender inequality?
According to a men’s rights lawsuit there are programs which (by law) exclude males victims from access to services.
So why are men not treated equally and should men have the right to protect themselves and their children from bad women, especially seeing as men cannot use physical force to defend ourselves because that will most likely result in him being imprisoned for “violence against women”.

The whole free groups of alcoholics anonymous, narcanon could be helpful and they would know the resources for your area as well.
The yellow pages also list the local mental health centers and they would know, and may have some low cost services.
You could also call the Health Department there and ask if there are low cost rehab, clinics etc.
The mens and womens shelters, listed there , would also know of those resources.
If you yahoo/google search ‘free rehab in las vegas’ a lot comes up. Looks like they have some free ones also.
Title for My Speech on Obama’s Gun Control Policy and Mexican Drug Cartel Violence?
Question by Dr. Psychology: Title for my speech on Obama’s gun control policy and Mexican drug cartel violence?
I’m giving an informational speech for my innovations class on a controversial topic that could be further explained. I chose to write about the misconceptions regarding Obama’s gun control policy, the claim that many make that the Obama Administration is “taking away our second amendment”, and how this is influenced by the Mexican drug wars. My thesis statement is: “Due to misinformation, people often view Barack Obama’s policy on firearms as revoking our second amendment, when Obama is actually trying to ban semi-automatic guns to prevent drug war violence in Mexico.” I have the speech all outlined, but I’m still in need of a title.
